Get-A-Way!

At the end of April, Carson and I were able to go down South and leave Kambree with my parents for a few days. We decided to rent a car (good thing because the oldsmobile broke down a few days after we got back). So we went to leave the oldsmobile parked at my uncle's and the trunk on the car would not open! We tried everything we could think of including taking it to about 4 different places, finally finding someone that could get it open, but it was closing time so he wouldn't! Frustrating! We decided to cut our losses and buy some clothes and other necessities down in St. George. We had a great time on the trip! It was so nice to have some time together without having to worry about where Kambree was and what she needed at the moment. We missed her!...but it was nice to have a break:) The first day we spent in St. George shopping at Barnes and Noble and spending time with my cousins, going to Brigham Young's summer home and eating out! The second day we headed over to Zion's National Park...which neither of us had been too, but it was awesome! The third day we spent at Hoover Dam and went up to see the Las Vegas Temple. It was a Sunday so it was closed (plus our clothes were locked in the trunk), so we just chilled and read by the pool and spent some time relaxing. It was nice. Monday we headed over to Las Vegas to walk the strip. I have to say I wasn't too impressed. It was fun to see everything, but probably not somewhere I would make a regular vacation to. Tuesday we drove back up North and came home to sweet little Kambree, who I think hardly knew we were gone:)

Hoover Dam

This is the bridge they a building over Hoover Dam, this does not do it justice. It was so high!

The results of hiking at Zion's in flip-flops...yep shoes were in the trunk.
